marissa erickson (they/she)
is an interdisciplinary artist from the southwest United States whose work observes stories of relationship; one hand to another, the relationship between cracks of a palm to a seed, mold to a ripe fruit, a body to a memory.
marissa holds B.A.s in Cultural Anthropology and in Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Accessibility with a minor in Studio Art from Metropolitan State University of Denver. their work disrupts boundaries and binaries and tells a stories informed by identity, place*, and class.
their work floats and weaves through mediums of textile, photo, found objects, video, performance, bio matter, paint, ink, wire, collage, metals, and ceramic.
